The first video shows how to work the 2/3 left cable using a cable needle. For left-leaning cables, always hold the cable needle to the front of the work. The second video shows how to work a 2/3 left cable by rearranging the stitches on the needle without a cable needle. For left-leaning cables, always slip stitches through the back loops.
With a cable needle

Slip 2 stitches purlwise to the cable needle, hold to front, knit the next 3 stitches, k2 from the cable needle.

This video shows how to work a 2/3 left cable by rearranging the stitches on the needle without a cable needle. For left-leaning cables, always slip stitches through the back loops. (For right-leaning cables, always slip through the front loops of stitches.)
Instructions: Slip the next 5 stitches together as if to purl through the back loops (tbl). Transfer 2 stitches together tbl back to the holding needle, untwisting them. Transfer the next 3 stitches together tbl back to the holding needle, untwisting them. Work the cable by knitting 5 stitches. (For a 2/3 Left Purl Cross, you would p3, k2.)
