Freedom Pouch

Like the majority of Americans, we are devastated that our rights are being stripped away by the Supreme Court and oppressive state laws. It feels shocking and terrible to lose rights that both of us were born with.

We channeled our feelings over the weekend into the Freedom Pouch. The Freedom Pouch is a symbol that every person deserves the right to make healthcare decisions about their body with a trusted doctor. Becoming a parent should be a choice that is not made lightly. It requires that each person consider their own financial, medical, emotional, and family situation. In this spirit, all proceeds from the sales of this pattern will be donated to Planned Parenthood, an organization whose mission is to ensure all people have access to the care and resources they need to make informed decisions about their bodies, their lives, and their futures.

We know that people have strong emotions and opinions on both sides of this issue. And that is exactly the point—that each person in a free country gets to decide their individual beliefs and determine the course of their life, and neither the government nor others should be able to take away these choices. We know that if these issues were simple, there would not be controversy. Knitrino is our platform to use to express our beliefs and we ask people to respect that today. It is ok to unfollow us, unsubscribe, and uninstall, just please be courteous, as we strive to be.
